World Finance is a weighty bi-monthly (about 150 editorial pages each issue), with words and pictures supplied by banks and insurance companies. Not exactly what you'd call inspirational material and definitely not beautiful (see covers below). We needed a really minimal and unfussy design for this magazine that would make it as readable and clean as possible, and with no budget for imagery we created a simple line style illustration to portray the more complex and theoretical sides of finance.

We created different looks for the different sections of the magazine so that it was easy to navigate and to tell the difference between the real editorial and the advertorial pages. We also designed World Finance's Top 100 supplement, released in January each year.
