With a garage-load of content, a hardcore fanbase and a huge membership, the guys at cars website Pistonheads wanted to take on the motoring magazines with a tongue-in-cheek alternative.
 
We took the irreverent spirit of its web forums to inspire cheeky graphics in the magazine, and created a page template that was deliberately simple, giving it the flexibility to play with layouts and maintaining the spontaneity of the web in print form.
