Booths Christmas Book 2014

Booths was established in 1847 by Edwin Henry Booth, who had one simple aim: to sell the best goods he could buy in shops staffed with first class assistants. That retail vision is retained today throughout the company’s 29 stores, located in the North of England.

Having worked on the Booths Christmas Book 2013, we were delighted to be asked to do it all over for 2014. We once again worked closely with Debrah Smith and Richard Village from branding agency Smith& +Village, who created the concept and structure of the book, which was based on the 12 events of Christmas.

Our role was to bring all of the elements of the art direction together, from the mouth-watering food photography by Craig Robertson, the stories about Booths’ local producers, the delicious recipes and all of the product information, into one beautiful book. This was made all the more special by the amazing foil-blocked cover pattern, provided by typography whizz Coralie Bickford-Smith.
